Here are some of the experiences of students who have participated in Global Concerns Classroom.

I enjoy being in the Global Concerns Club because it allows me to work side by side with my peers to work for a better world for all. The club has taught me the importance of working with others. We are not only a club, but a team, a team of young girls that have worked, and are still, working for a brighter future for all.”
-Student, 16, NYC

“I feel that being a part of this club is my chance at doing some real good in the world. I have learned so much about so many different crises and situations that I would have otherwise been oblivious to. Global Concerns’ is truly the most active club in my school and it has the most members also. It really does help students to learn about global issues that we should be aware of.”
-Student, 16, NYC

“Our club acts as a reminder to the girls of our school that there is more to life than trig tests, bio papers, and English essays. Our Global Concerns Club makes a difference by getting our school involved in interesting and fun ways. Most importantly however, we serve as educators and inspiration for our community so that they do not get lost among this wealth of information.”
-Student, 17, NYC

“I have been in the Global Concerns Club for two years, and it has been truly fulfilling. This club has informed me about many global issues. By joining the club, I have come to realize that by participating in the smallest things such as a bake sale, I can make a difference.”
-Student, 16, NYC

“The Global Concerns Club is like training for the real world .It's based on organization, team work, and enthusiasm. Every day we learn how to deal with the challenges of everyday life… It makes us aware of the world around us and offers us a chance to help.”
–Student, 15, NYC

“The purpose of the club is to educate and inform my school community about global issues, so together we can act on something that really matters to us. We discuss issues that confuse us and encourage debate and high energy discussions.”
-Student, 18, NYC
