The Chicago Golf Outing was held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Harborside International Golf Center. Fr. Thomas Hurley, Pastor of Old St. Patrick's Church was the 2010 Honorary Chairperson. Despite the stormy weather, the golfers were able to play all 18 holes. Thanks to everyone's support, the outing raised more than $120,000 to fund Concern's Recovery and Rebuilding Program in Haiti.

A special thanks to Golf Committee Chairperson Rich McMenamin and Concern Board Member Bob Fitzgerald for their continued support and hard work that has made the Chicago Golf Outing a success year after year.
Funds raised from the 2010 Golf Outing will support Concern’s Haiti Earthquake Response and Recovery Program. With an estimated 285,000 houses damaged or destroyed in the earthquake, many families are currently living in camps without adequate shelter or sanitation.
A recent screening of children under five carried out by Concern showed an increase in malnutrition rates. And almost 90 percent of school buildings were destroyed, leaving 2.5 million children without access to education. The Response and Recovery Program will target the areas of water and sanitation, nutrition centers, food distribution, education, and livelihoods. Concern is in Haiti for the long-haul and is committed to helping earthquake survivors rebuild their lives and communities over the coming years.
Since 2003, the Chicago golf outing has raised substantial funds for Concern’s development programs in Haiti, Mozambique and Sierra Leone. Thanks to our supporters, Concern’s water and education programs have been strengthened and expanded in these countries, and countless vulnerable individuals and their families have benefited from sustainable improvements to their communities.
We would like to acknowledge the ongoing support from our Presenting Sponsors The McShane Companies and Collins Engineers, Inc.
