Women of Concern Awards

We are now accepting nominations for the 2014 Women of Concern Awards! Please download the nomination form HERE

Committee Members Susan Flynn, Daphne Dolan, Peg Lombardo, Sheila McShane, Carol Deely

The Women of Concern Awards was held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.  More than 630 guests celebrated the 15th anniversary of Concern’s largest event.  We were pleased to honor two extraordinary women, Shirley Welsh Ryan and Mari Gallagher.  Both women exhibit justice, generosity, and compassion in their work and daily lives.

With the support of our generous donors, the event raised more than $330,000 to fund Concern’s most needed programs in 25 countries across the regions of Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

We are especially grateful to Event Chairs Peg Lombardo and Cherryl Thomas for their guidance and leadership, and to the devoted committee who helped in countless ways.
