Join the fight against hunger

The world produces enough food for everyone. Yet, every six seconds a child dies from hunger. It doesn’t have to be this way. YOU can help make hunger history. Join our movement and raise money to fight hunger in 25 of the world’s poorest countries.
From now until November 30, TAKE PART AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR A TEAM and choose one (or more!) of these actions:
  • EAT LESS FOOD: Give up food for a day or skip a meal and ask family and friends to sponsor you. Better still, form a team and do it together!

  • EAT MORE FOOD: Host an event or dinner party. Ask guests to donate to your fundraising page.

  • GIVE A LITTLE OR A LOT: Either way you will save lives by making a donation.

To begin, click ‘Create a fundraising page’. Raise the most money over $10,000 and you and a friend will get the chance to visit one of our programs overseas.

Your support will:

SAVE LIVES TODAY, as we respond to some of the world’s worst food crises.
ENSURE THAT PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO FEED THEMSELVES TOMORROW, through our long-term development work in 25 countries around the world.

CONCERN’S WORK IN ACTION

In the short term, our emergency programs provide food, water, and other vital supplies to the most vulnerable people. Children, pregnant, and breastfeeding women are also treated for severe malnutrition through our health programs.
To end hunger we focus on helping people break out of the cycle of poverty. We invest in basic education to provide children with the skills they’ll need to earn a decent living. Livelihood programs help small farmers earn an income, and grow and manage their own food supplies. And our nutrition programs ensure that people aren’t just eating any food, but the right kind of food.

Together, we can make a big impact.
In 2011, you helped:

  • 759,500 people in Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia get urgent access to food, water, and vital health services during the Horn of Africa food crisis. Read more

  • Launch a project in Zambia that aims to find new long-term ways to improve nutrition for 3,500 poor women farmers and their families. Read more

  • Conclude a child survival program in Rwanda that ensured better health for 724,000 women and children. Read more
