US GOVERNMENT
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) continues to be a significant source of funding for Concern Worldwide’s overseas operations. In 2010, Concern Worldwide US received more than $20.8 million in grants from the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) to support our emergency programs in Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Kenya, Niger, Pakistan, South Sudan, North Sudan, Zambia. We also received $2.2 million from USAID for our Child Survival and health programs in six countries: Burundi, Haiti, Niger, Rwanda, Malawi and Sudan. Concern Worldwide US gratefully acknowledges the substantial funding that we receive from USAID, which supports emergency and development programs in 10 of our countries of operation.
