Our codes and policies shape Concern as a whole and ensure that we are always staying true to our values and our mandate.
All of the work that we carry out is guided by a series of codes and policies which are strictly adhered to at all times. The following codes, policies, and guidelines are a combination of our own written codes and voluntary codes, all of which ensure that we are treating one another with the respect and dignity that we all deserve.
The Core Humanitarian Standard is an internationally-recognized standard of nine commitments. All organizations and individuals involved in humanitarian response can use these standards to improve the quality and effectiveness of their work.
There are several other guiding principles for humanitarian aid, originally set out by the United Nations General Assembly.
1. Humanity
2. Impartiality
3. Neutrality
4. Independence
