We’re always striving to be the best versions of ourselves—to be more gracious, exhibit more gravitas, or make more time to give back.

Now, thanks to Alexi Lubomirski, we can all rest a little easier. The fashion photographer has penned a book to teach us all how to be a little more prince/princess-like in Notes for a Young Prince, adorably written for his two sons Sole Luka and Leone.

Each page offers a note on how to be just a little more courteous each day in every aspect of life:

“Be CHIVALROUS at all times. Stand up when introduced to women. Open doors for them, help carry their belongings, and protect them from harm.”

“Be ROMANTIC. Think of different ways each day to express your love to your loved ones. Love needs to be encouraged, fed, and celebrated. Do it every day!”

“When someone comes to you for advice, LISTEN. Ask them how they feel about the subject. Often people have it in them to solve their own problems, they just need a sounding board to help themselves.”

“You do not need money, palaces, land or treasures to define you as a prince. Be a prince in your own heart and you will always be RICH.”

All the proceeds from the book go to the charity Concern Worldwide, an organization dedicated to helping people living in extreme poverty in the poorest countries worldwide. Talk about practicing what you preach.
